As part of the Read to Succeed campaign this summer, I encouraged children to participate in the Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge at their local library. I was pleased to present certificates at the completion ceremony to those children successfully completed the challenge and read six books this summer at Whittlesey library.

The Summer Reading Challenge could not exist without superb student volunteers, such as Jade Broughton and Sky Sawyn, both from Sir Harry Smith Community College. I hope that both the student volunteers and the children who completed the challenge enjoyed themselves and will take part again next summer.
