The opening today of the £49 million Ely Southern Bypass is a major boost to economic growth in East Cambridgeshire and Fenland.

The opening of Ely Southern Bypass today, the confirmation yesterday of the £16 million funding for Kings Dyke bridge at Whittlesey, and the over £3 million secured for the next phase of Wisbech Rail engineering study work due to start in December show transport improvements across the constituency.
Together with plans for Ely Rail Junction, and my ongoing lobbying to dual the A47 working with other MPs on the A47 Alliance, it shows we are moving in the right direction.
