If you have ever thought about working or teaching in a nursery, primary, secondary or special needs school in our area then now is a great time to find out more, as two information evenings have been organised.

Fenland and East Cambs is one of the Government’s twelve Education Opportunity Areas, which is a scheme I helped to secure last year. As part of this national scheme, we have priority access to education initiatives run or organised by the Government. One of these is to attract new talent into teaching.

The events are:

- Thursday February 1 from 5.30-7.30pm at St Peter’s Primary in Wisbech and;

– Thursday February 8 from 5.30-7.30pm at Littleport Academy

The events are designed to give people the opportunity to find out about the different ways to apply, to train, and the associated time commitments.

Everyone is welcome including already qualified teachers who have had a career break and are thinking about returning to the profession.  The event will update you on what support can be offered to get back into school.
