Passengers using Whittlesey Rail Station will be benefitting from new solar powered LED cat eye lights, due to be installed on Thursday 18 October. This announcement comes just in time as the footpath between the station entrance on Station Road and Platform 2 used to be dark and unlit at night, but is now illuminated by 70 solar lights, increasing the feeling of safety amongst passengers using the footpath.

Base units have also been installed at Whittlesey Station by Greater Anglia in preparation for the installation of a new ticket machine and information point in the coming months.
