I may be a bit old to be hitting the ramps myself, but it is great to hear the exciting plans to build a new and improved Skate Park in March.

Fenland District Council is in the early stages of planning a new skate park to replace the aging one in West End Park it has launched a community survey to find out what features young people would like the new park to have.

The council has already set aside £90,000 for the project from its capital fund, and will use feedback from the survey to help develop a funding bid to the Amey Community Fund for a further £40,000.

If the bid is successful, building work could commence as early as Spring 2019, ready for completion in the summer. If unsuccessful, other funding sources will be explored. Well done to Councillor Jan French and team for their work to make this happen.
