Residents in Wimblington blighted by fly tipping on Hook Road should notice a recent improvement after I flagged their concerns to Fenland Council.
Fly tipping is a real menace locally and I have consistently called for prosecutions, including helping to secure covert cameras which resulted in a marked increase in successful enforcement action. Yet incidents locally still occur causing great distress to farmers and other residents.
I am grateful to Fenland Council’s Rapid Response Team for arranging to clear up the large amount of household items and tyres from this area, as well as items dumped in nearby Coleseed Road.
If you are aware of any fly-tipping in your area get in contact with FDC’s Rapid Response Team direct on www.fenland.gov.uk/cleanstreets
