Wisbech Tunnels

Underneath Wisbech are a series of tunnels from the days when the town was a major port. The underground spaces were used to store and move goods leaving and entering the town by boat along the Brink. Having raised the potential for economic growth and increased tourism if the tunnels were to be reopened, I am pleased that the owner of the tunnels has now given permission for exploratory work to be carried out, which will map the tunnel network. I will update on this in due course.
