Reading is a fun and a key skill for life long learning, so it is great to celebrate this year the tenth anniversary of my Read to Succeed literacy campaign. Thanks to the generous support of local businesses, councillors, and residents, over the years it has donated over 20,000 new books for our Year 4 pupils across Fenland.
The book titles are chosen with advice from local teachers and Year 4 children receive them as that is the age many children first start to read independently, Thanks to Mrs Higgins and pupils Isla, Mia, Brian and Catelyn from Townley school in Christchurch who have kindly helped explain what Read to Succeed is for them.
