My Inaugural Parish and Town Council Round-Table

I recently welcomed Parish and Town Councillors from across North East Cambridgeshire for my first Parish and Town Council Round Table. The event was a good opportunity for Parish and Town Councillors from across the constituency to meet and discuss the key issues which affect them and their parishioners with myself, Mayor James Palmer, Leader of Cambridgeshire County Council Steve Count, Leader of Fenland District Council Chris Seaton and Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner Jason Ablewhite. The key issues raised by representatives ranged from traffic issues, broadband speed and business rates and tackling these issues collaboratively promotes a co-ordinated approach to make change happen and have a stronger impact on the community.

Parish Councils are the most local representative bodies for residents. Thanks to Mayor James Palmer, Jason Ablewhite, Steve Count, Chris Seaton for a constructive discussion on local opportunities at my Parish and Town Council round-table.
