Locals get a new opportunity to train as a nurse
The opportunity to work as a nurse in the NHS is hopefullygoing to be opened up to a new generation from our area with the start 3 new Nursing Apprenticeship courses at the College of West Anglia King’s Lynn campus, the first of which (subject to validation)could be starting as early as September 2019.
Last year, as a Health Minister, I had Ministerial responsibility for NHS workforce issues including apprenticeships and highlighted the opportunity to offer training in our area including letters to the College of West Anglia and local hospitals. Previously people had to travel some distance to train as a nurse, notably going to university and taking student loans.
Completing a nursing apprenticeship is a great route into the NHS as I have been championing this behind the scenes for some months. It is great to see these courses available locally and if you arewould like to register your interested, please call COWA: 01553 761144 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
