Rural schools can struggle to recruit and retain teachers
I am pleased that the Department for Education has published a national strategy to set out for the first time, the Department’s offer to the profession, making sure a career in teaching continues to be attractive, rewarding and sustainable.
As one of the country’s Education and Opportunity Areas, this strategy is key to rural schools who are struggling to recruit and retain teachers.
I continue to work with local schools and the Fenland and East Cambs Opportunity Area Team to ensure education and free professional training remains a focus for the Department of Education.
