Tydd St Giles awarded £18,680

I’m delighted that St Giles Church in Tydd St Giles has been awarded £18,680 from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund. The support package is designed to help heritage and the wider cultural sector during the Covid pandemic and it’s great to see Fenland take its share. As you know, the Grade II* listed church dates from 1084 and has a host of notable historic features. This Government grant, distributed by Historic England, is designed to support maintenance on cherished and vulnerable heritage sites and, I’m sure, will be put to very good use. I know the church is much valued by our community and this grant will be very welcome during the current challenges.
