Covid-19 vaccination centre

The former Budgens/Co-op supermarket (Unit 55) in Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech will open as a Covid-19 vaccination centre from Friday (5 Feb). It joins a number of venues around the constituency, including many GP surgeries and Doddington Hospital, where NHS staff and volunteers are working hard to administer vaccines. Designed as a large-scale centre it will target residents within a 45-minute radius and complement the large-scale centres in Peterborough, Cambridge, and Huntingdon as well as main hospital sites. More will come on-stream in the coming weeks. Residents should not turn up at the centre without a booking and should wait for a letter, being sent out by the national booking service to people in the priority group, inviting them to book an appointment. People who would prefer to be invited to attend a hospital or GP service appointment can do so. As always, I’d urge constituents to have the jab when invited and to continue to maintain social distancing and stay at home as much as possible to keep yourself and your families and friends safe.
