Little Acre Fen Pocket Park
It’s great to see the development of the Little Acre Fen Pocket Park off West Street in Chatteris. The Friends of the park have been working with the town council, which owns the site, to turn it into a community park and it is starting to grow and flourish. I visited to have a look round and chat to members about what they’ve done so far and plans for the future. Lockdown has kept us close to home and, across the country, more people have been walking and enjoying their local parks, gardens and footpaths. The same has happened at the Little Acre Fen Pocket Park which has seen an increase in visitors who can walk from the park to the nature reserve in Somersham. Thanks to Friends chairman Ian Mason, the town council and all the volunteers.
