£2,500 from Nestle Purina for my Read to Succeed campaign

I was delighted to collect a cheque for £2,500 from Nestle Purina in Wisbech for my Read to Succeed campaign. Aiming to raise enough money to buy a new reading book for every Year 4 child in North East Cambridgeshire, the campaign is being backed by teachers, businesses, town and district councils, community groups and the Bishop of Ely. My thanks go to them all. The Fenland-born author, journalist and philosopher William Godwin once said: “He that loves reading has everything within his reach.” That’s certainly true for me and I hope this campaign will help youngsters in the constituency to feel the same. This year’s theme is Wild World Heroes and hopes to inspire children to stand up for the future of our planet. Any contribution is much appreciated by myself and the children this will support.
