This Sunday is Thank You Day and a great opportunity to think about who you should say thank you to and why. There are many thousands of people around the country who deserve a thank you and, equally, there are many that never get it. It only takes a few seconds and can make a huge difference. So, this year, take a moment to tell people how much you appreciate what they do. This year I’d like to say thank you to the front-line workers and community volunteers who have gone above and beyond during a Covid year like no other; thank you to my constituents for keeping me on my toes and sharing with me their views on how we can make North East Cambridgeshire a better place to work, live and play; thank you to my team who have seen a caseload increase of 810% but still come in smiling every day; and thank you to my family for being there for me and putting up with the late nights, early mornings and distractions of working in government. Thank you to you all.
