Guyhirn Roundabout

Work continues to progress at the A47 Guyhirn junction and I’m pleased to hear from National Highways that the multi-million project is on track to complete by Spring as predicted. I know from personal experience the road works can be disruptive and extend journey times at present but this work to create two lanes on all approaches to the roundabout should significantly improve future journey times. It will also reduce congestion and increase safety for the 20,000 vehicles a day that use the junction. The diversion of key utilities has been completed, new bridge parapets have been installed, and a new pedestrian crossing on the River Nene Bridge put in. Work continues to install new streetlights and signals and improve access around the junction for those who walk or cycle. Further information on the construction work is available at
