As a Wisbech resident, Steve knows how essential cars are to areas like Fenland. That is why he will continue to campaign for more road upgrades and fight Labour’s anti car policies.
Steve has secured millions in road upgrades, with £32 million invested in King's Dyke and a £17 million upgrade to Guyhirn roundabout. He will continue to campaign for the dualling of the A47.
Steve will also fight Labour’s ideologically-driven anti car policies.
Labour’s Cambridgeshire mayor’s support for congestion charge policies and the Labour and Lib Dems’ road pricing policies would simply be another tax on hardworking people in Fenland.
Steve said: 'Labour's London leadership just don't get that cars are essential for areas like Fenland. Their disastrous 20mph policy in Wales and the Labour Cambridgeshire Mayor's congestion charge proposals would be a nightmare here. I will continue to campaign for common sense.'
