The annual Fenland District Council Celebration Evening recognising the work of volunteers and presenting awards for the best voluntary projects showcased the fabulous work done my many in the community and was a deserved thank you for their efforts.
Winners included Friends of Wisbech General Cemetery and Doddington Street Pride (joint winners) for Best Nature Project; Wisbech Street Pride and Wisbech in Bloom (joint winners) for Best Partnership Project; Whittlesey Street Pride for Best Street Scene Project; Wisbech St Mary Street Pride and Wisbech St Mary Church of England Academy and Chatteris in Bloom/Street Pride (joint winners) for Best Youth Project; Friends of Station Road Cemetery in March and Friends of Octagon Graveyard in Wisbech (joint winners) for Best Promotional Project; and Friends of March Railway Station and Manea Street Pride (joint winners) for Best Clean Up.
