The search for the next Fenland Poet Laureates is underway and I’m looking forward to seeing some amazing talent championing both poetry and the area we live in. This year is the sixth annual competition, organised by award-winning poet and chair of Fenland District Council’s Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee Elisabeth Sennitt Clough, in partnership with Fenland District Council.
Outgoing Fenland Poet Laureate Qu Gao and Young Poet Laureate Isabelle Slade Stollery will pass on the baton at the awards ceremony in March. The competition is free to enter and open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Fenland.
